-- On Novemer 19, 2006, TNA Genesis took place at the Impact Zone in Orlando, Florida, and broadcast live on Pay-Per-View television. The main event featured the first-ever meeting between newcomer Kurt Angle and the then undefeated Samoa Joe. After going back-and-forth in a grueling contest that went nearly fifteen minutes, Angle put an end to Joe's eighteen-month unbeaten streak via ankle lock submission. Also on the show, Abyss defeated NWA Champion STING by disqualification to capture the title(NWA rules allowed for titles to change hands when the champion was disqualfied.)
